Down to Earth is created through a love and respect for nature's rhythms and cycles. A place where science and spirituality are brought back into harmony to help you create a balance within.
My name is Ruth and I am the founder of Down to Earth. I struggled for a long time with unresolved childhood trauma and became completely disconnected from myself. I made some 'interesting' life choices and I didn't like myself very much.
Over the years I have had therapy and this is when I started looking further into holisitic therapies. I began to find myself again, the knowledge I gained woke something inside me. I have been, and continue to be, on a journey of discovery and learnings.
I have realised the connection to nature and the healing it offers. To the cycles, the rhythms, the elements and celestial bodies. I realised the importance of energy and of trusting my intuition. How we, as living beings, are fundamentally, instinctively affected by these energies and forces at play all around us.
My belief and my experience is we need a balance within of mind, body and soul/spirit/energy field.
When I began to work on my mind, |I felt well enough to work on my body and when I worked on my body with exercise, I found it helped the mind. It was amazing to understand the balance and how it correlated. But, although I felt incredibly physically and my mental health was much better, there was still a lot of peaks and troughs. I felt something was missing.
I realised most of my happy moments were when I was outside - walking, swimming, bike rides, views.
This was the beginning of finding that missing piece. I explored nature's cycles, and in doing so learned so much about my own cycle and how nature's cycles affect us.
Now, I still have bad days, I'm only human but I find my balance is much better and I can predict most of my down days now within my cycles. I feel the best I ever have and I can't wait to open up this world for you all too.
